Craig Axelrod

Craig Axelrod, CEO of Axelrod Development Group, is a second generation builder and developer in the New York region.  Craig has a management degree from Bentley University and an MBA in Real Estate Development from NYU.

After a brief stint on Wall Street, Mr. Axelrod joined Emmy Homes, one of the premier and most highly respected builders on Long Island.  Established in 1964, Emmy Homes specialized in multi-home developments and condominium complexes throughout the region.

In 1996 Craig joined Emmy, taking on the role of assistant construction superintendent.  Within just six years he became a partner in the firm, continuing to accelerate growth.

In 2002, sensing the over-built market conditions on Long island, the Emmy partners ventured into Long Island City, a section of Queens New York.  Craig assumed the post of liaison between the Long Island based Emmy Homes and members of the Queens community.

Craig joined the Queens Builders Association and was quickly appointed to the Executive Board. To date, Craig has completed four multi-tenant construction projects in Long Island City, with more than 160 units sold.

Craig is actively involved with all aspects of the development process, from site selection to the selling the individual condominiums.
